He wants to go

we can not afford to keep some players, but more importantly we cannot afford to keep players who do not want to be here. The championship is relentless and not the place for half ar8ed half hearted players who wish they were somewhere else.

Nothing against the player..we should never have signed him

I agree with this, he was slower than a Horse pulling a cart full of led in most of the games he appeared in.

Why are you bothered he was a total waste of space, or did you spot something I missed!

I disagree.

From what I saw of him he was composed, confident and could pick a pass out

It would be within our interest to try and convince him to stay for a season, he'd be a great asset.

When did you guys see him play all this great football???? Dont think he played in the prem last year.
Also as we got him from la liga would guess he is on something comparable with Gardner so out the door swift style I reckon!!

You do realise if we let everyone go who wants to then we wouldn't be left with very much at all!

Regardless of morale we are going to have to (and will) end up keeping some players here and make them honour their contracts, even if they want to leave.

I see Michel as one of these players.

Hopefully Hughton can get the chance to persuade Michel to hang around, at least until January and see how the land lies then. He did manage to keep both Jose Enrique and Gutierrez at Newcastle when they were relegated and both were a massive part in getting them back up. We missed a player with the nous to pick a pass from the middle of the park last season, given the chance Michel could be that sort of player.

Yes he did manage to keep players like Jonas but Newcastle are a big club who play to nearly 60000 fans every other week!

We could play to 30,000 a week if people show their support for the team this year. Would also make the club a better sell if CY loses or sells the club. Even though I live in the states I just brought a season ticket for my sister.

Premier League game: Portsmouth 1 Blues 2. That was the only time I ever got a good look at him, and he was really good.

Agree,

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for some of Hughtons 1 to 1 conversations. I am sure a new manager with a fresh outlook can get him to stay. When we were relegated and Mcleish was retained I bet that fueled his drive to leave. A new manager with new promise can make a difference.

Two games come to mind, that one and Spurs at home he came on as a sub, thought he bossed the game.

Mig that was one game 18 months ago V the team who finished bottom. I never saw him play in the prem last season, as it was Mcleish who signed him then surely he would have played him if he thought he had something to add to the team.
However we have a new man in charge if he likes Michel then I am sure he will make a public comment in the next couple of weeks.

Yes he did to AK Athens
And did well for them, saw him score a beautiful free kick for them.

Only if his attitude was right would I keep him if he is wanting out and by the way he looked on the video of them training yesterday, he looked like a man who just wanted to be else where and not wanting to put a shift in.
